My backup sump pump battery alarms continues to turn on.?
I replaced a back up sump pump battery a few days ago. After a few days of charging the light on the control panel indicates that the battery is fully charged. A few more days go by and the battery every once in a while makes a long(few minutes) alarm. I unplugged the power and charger and tested the float on the backup and it kicked on. I plugged everything back in and it beeped for 3 Min's then went off. A few Min's go by then it slowly builds up then boom the alarm is at full blast. I ran the test another indicates failure. The manuel doesn't mention this type of behavior so im stumped. Please help. My and noise are driving me crazy!
I have the same similar system and you may need to look at your float to see if its hanging up , my electrical tape was giving outfrom the surge when the pump was coming on
