A cruise is looked at as a kind of luxury vacation but for those who want to experience it badly enough, the cruise can still be a part of cheap travel when it is done in a certain way. There are economy cruises available that can be booked online and in fact you can save hundreds of dollars through doing it this way. You can find a Caribbean cruise for even fifty percent off when it is not the peak time of year for traveling.
For those who love this idea but want to cut costs even further while still having a great time, here are some ways to do so.
- Going on a cruise for those who enjoy some alcoholic beverages, they may want to experience some of the bar life. Some of these ships have the most beautiful and classy bars with of course the prices to match. You can still cut this down by not adding a tip to the price. No, this isn't being cheap. The price of the drinks on most cruises actually includes a 15% gratuity already so by leaving your own tip, you are in fact giving them two.
- There are always lots of activities planned on the cruise ships. Some are free while others require an entry fee. Just because you have to pay to get in doesn't mean that the activity is better. Either before you get on the boat or when you spend some time there, scope around for these free activities to see what is offered. You are almost guaranteed to have just as an amazing time taking advantage of free activities as you would spending a lot of money for paid entertainment.
- When the boat pulls to port there are usually planned excursions that are led by the staff of the boat or by their affiliates. These excursions are generally very expensive. It is much cheaper to go with a group of travelers on your own to do your own thing. You still get to see what you want to see but you save a lot of money. One caution though is to make sure that you have a map and you get back to the port on time. The ship in most likelihood will not wait for you.
These are just a few ways that you can save money on cruise ships. You can have that cruise and have a great time while still saving money and this proves it.

No, you won't go to prison. If he was going to nab you the officer would have either arrested you on the spot if you were committing an arrestable offence or formally told you that you would be reported with a view to prosecution. As it is, your details will go into local intelligence as someone who hangs around in those circumstances.
