Is a netbook fast enough to run a car diagnostic software?

Something like ELM scan or VAG-COM or would I have to buy a laptop instead?
Budget is around £350

Netbooks should handle it (had a mate with P4 which ran both ELM and ELM II - 3 years ago).

Much prefer laptop - partly as laptop will get get knocked around a bit. When looking at it few years ago, the were bringing out bluetooth version. Depends on how much you are going to use or willing to invest.

Google page rank and diagnostic tools for it
