Electric Truck Conversion

Your electric truck will run at 50 mph that is similar with other type of trucks. Your truck will be a range of 200 miles. So you can use it for long distance. There are two main parts in an electric truck. One is a DC motor another batteries. You have to choose a large (11 inch or more) DC motor for your electric truck. This will allow you to carry more weight to more distance. You also have to collect (20 or more) deep cycle batteries for your electric truck. This will help you to go long range driving. You can collect the DC motor and the batteries for free from outlined sources. This will help you to save money from buying those equipments. That makes the conversion worthy. For your current vehicle you need a lot of money to repair and for fuel. But you need no fuel for your electric vehicle and the repair cost is so low. You can even convert your existing vehicle as electric by the money which you use to repair your existing vehicle. You will be known that next year the gas will increase unto $7 per gallon. So this is the time to do your own conversion. Any ideas on how I could make my pick up look like a fire truck?
I'm trying to do something creative and fun for my girlfriends birthday, and she likes fire trucks. Its kinda stupid, but I think she'll like it.
So far, all I have is my red F150 and a ladder. I dont really know how i could do it... Thanks for the help
You have the red truck, that's a good start.
Get some poster paper, thick stuff, and make out signs for your doors (I assume you don't plan on making any permanent changes to the truck) that say the name of your town, and the letters RFD (rural fire department). Lettering should be either gold or silver, with black outlines, on a red (match the red of your truck) background. On the day, tape them securely to each front door.
Rakes, shovels, an axe, and other implements of destruction.
It's not going to be the right size, but get a coil of garden hose.
Beg, borrow, steal, or maybe even buy a bubble light for the dash.
Siren? How 'bout a recording, played really loud on your music system, of a siren?
Stop in to your local FD. They might have some other ideas, or even be willing to help you.
Of course, you will be running the risk of having the gf leave you after she meets real firemen!
