Choosing the right pickup
In recent decades trucks have come a long way from their original roots. There are now thousands of combinations for you to sift through when making that all important final decision. While there are not that many manufacturers of trucks, but a handful each have a handful of active models and a catalogue of models no longer in production, couple this with the accessory list, colour and as standard or sports model, I am sure you get the idea. There exists so much choice that it is easy to see why you might need to consult a guide or the wisdom of the Internet to make an informed decision.
Firstly, I would factor in your favourite manufactures of previous autos. Generally speaking you probably enjoyed driving this vehicle and the similarities will be both useful when learning the layout of the vehicle and visible when operating the vehicle or carrying out any sort of maintenance.
Size is so important when choosing the right pickup - you need to choose a pickup truck which is fit for purpose, this is wholly dependent on your circumstances. If you are using this truck as part of your work fleet which say do a lot of garden maintenance, you probably want to ensure this is as big as is practically possible to fit all of the tools for the job and waste for the dump station.
Your engine size a good next point to consider, how much power are you going to need? Are you planning to tow a trailer around a lot? The bigger the engine the more power your pickup has, on the flip side the more expensive the truck is to buy and day to day fuel expenditure is higher than that of a lesser engine size.
Get the correct seating, if this truck is a work horse and will only usually carry cargo, you probably want to look at getting a truck with just a front seat and room for a lone passenger, this will utilise the space for additional cargo. Alternatively you can get an extended cab which provides an additional row of seating behind the driver and front passenger, this option however provides less room for cargo.
These are just some of the most important considerations to bear in mind when you do look at buying your next pickup truck, there are plenty of other considerations you should defiantly consider including the transmission, the length of the truck and of course budget. Unfortunately being on a tight budget will quite often remove many of the elements in customisation, leaving you with less choices, which I believe could well be a blessing in disguise.

Could the shielding gas for MIG welding be used for purging for leaks in automotive AC systems?
I have borrowed the handheld leak testers that beep and never had much luck, especially with very small leaks. At a Peterbilt dealership that I had worked at, I had a lot of success with their nitrogen tank/regulator setup and soapy water, listening for the hissing, etc. Now I work for myself and do occasional AC work. To save money, I wondered if I could use the MIG shielding gas tanks(I have both stainless and ferrous blend) to purge, by just buying the high pressure regulator, which does fit both tanks, MIG and N (CGA 580) outlets. I own the MIG tanks already.
Your ferrous blend is an Argon/CO2 mix and cheaper than your stainless mix Argon/CO2/O2. Your CG 580 is just an inert regulator and will work on the above mixed gasses and nitrogen cylinders. Both will work the same as the nitrogen.
