The Best Types of Air Conditioner for Home and Business
Different environments have different attributes and different air conditioning requirements. In order to make an informed decision about the kind of air conditioner that will work best for you, you first need to know what each variety does and how much it costs.
The most basic form of air conditioning is the portable unit. A portable air conditioning unit is ideal for smaller offices and homes where there is a sporadic need for air conditioning, or where the intention is to try out the benefits of having a system before you go ahead and make the commitment to buy.
There are different ways to finance your air conditioner, of which buying is only one. Technically you never need to make the commitment to buy now that companies are offering fixed air conditioning systems on a rental basis, with an option to buy in the future if necessary.
The next air conditioning system up is the wall mount, which features a louvered unit that blows conditioned air in a single direction. Using this kind of system is cheaper than other fixed systems, both in terms of rental and purchase.
After the wall mount, there comes the floor mounted air conditioner units. A floor mounted air conditioning system is much the same as a wall mounted one only it isn't hung on the wall.
Cassette air conditioners start to go up in price – but they also offer a lot more in the way of versatility. An air conditioning cassette is a unit that features four louvers, each one of which blows out in a single direction – so you have hot or cold air blowing out at the four main pints of the compass. Price wise, an installation of cassette air conditioning will be more expensive than either a wall or floor mount – but it will serve an open commercial or office space much better.
At the top of the air conditioner scale you come to the ducted air conditioning system. A duct system is concealed in the roof and walls of your environment and lets out air through ceiling or wall vents, which can be placed wherever you need them for completely bespoke and specific air conditioning.
Now that fixed air conditioning systems can be rented, there's no longer a need to worry about the cost of installation before you start. Bear in mind too that a rented air conditioner can be maintained and serviced as part of your contract – so you may actually save money in the short term by having a unit that you don't have to pay for repairs to yourself.
In the long run, buying a rented system is obviously a good idea. As your annual rental fees increase there is more reason to convert your rental into ownership. Once you get to this stage of course, you'll be so used to having a high quality air conditioning system in the place that you'll be glad to pay to take full ownership of it!

Is it normal for my 2007 Honda Civic 1.7L to seem to blow air out the oil cap when off?
My car only has 37000 miles on it, starts and runs fine, gets 30mpg no matter how rough I drive, but it seems like when the oil cap is off, it seems to smell very faintly of exhaust and seems to blow a tiny bit of air out. Is this just normal engine behavior for this type of engine? Is there an easy test to check this?
i dont think you have a problem as most cars to day will push a small ammount of air out . basically, you dont take off the oil cap unless its stopped however if you are worried about it it still should be under warranty so just drive it back to the dealer and get them to check it out
