Enhance Your Dodge Charger With Chrome Trim Accessories
Ideally, every Dodge Charger owner should be happy and comfortable with the outward looks and performance. Unfortunately, most Charger owners are not. If you are unhappy with the exterior appearance and want to make them appear luxurious and awesome, read on to see how you can maximize your vehicle capabilities with practical chrome trim elements.
The starting point to customizing your Dodge Charger is the front end. The Grille is without a doubt love at first sight. If you have the right Grille, you get the look. It is the most noticeable part of the vehicle; it represents the hair, nose, ear and eyes of the whole vehicle. Installing a classy Grille will alter the entire vehicle to look luxurious and different from stock models, not to mention the added value to the total outlook.
There are several Grille styles to choose from ranging from mild to wild; some of these options include a vertical or mesh chrome grille or a chrome overlay. Other offerings are a chrome billet mesh grill or stainless steel varieties. Two popular stainless steel grills come in a mesh or perimeter framed variation. However, this is just the beginning. There are practically endless styles to choose from, ranging greatly in levels of uniqueness as well as price.
Once you have decided on a chrome grille, the next customizing accessory of high importance is a set of chrome wheels. This is perhaps the most difficult task because there are countable numbers of wheels in the open market. Despite the large amount of custom wheels, you can start by asking yourself these important questions; chrome or polished? What size will look good on my Charger? And finally, will my Dodge Charger be daily driven or for weekend use?
If you're still not satisfied with the way the exterior of your Charger looks with chrome grills and chrome wheels, then there is always the option of adding on some additional custom chrome trim accessories to give your Dodge Charger a luxury, classy and in most cases, a little more modern. Since the Charger sibling, the Chrysler hemi 300Cs are equipped with chrome door handle, chrome mirror covers and chrome bumper trims from factory, it is definitely a no brainier to add these chrome options.
The next step in customizing your Dodge Charger is not only tricky but challenging. There are a number of different options available for added customization of your Charger. This aspect of customization involves the addition of simple add-on chrome trims like chrome door handle covers, chrome mirror covers, chrome plated stainless pillar post and rocker panel moldings, taillight bezel, body side moldings, window sill, wheel well fender trims, fender portholes, fender vents and license plate frames.
When it comes to customizing your stock Dodge Charger, there are countless possibilities to enhancing the look of your ride for a true custom look. The beauty of chrome trims is that you can dress up your ride to fit your taste, your style and your budget. There is absolutely no limit to enhancing the appearance of your Dodge Charger

2002 intrepid r/t, how to remove the mirror control switch?
I have a new switch to install, but need to remove the panel in the drivers door that the switch is in. There is nothing very obvious.
Has anyone removed the panel without destroying it? What is the solution or what common tool needed to pop the panel out of its retainers?
There appear to be 2 retainers at the rear.
I have the 2002 service manual and the only way it appears that the mirror switch could be removed is to remove the entire door trim panel ( page 23-24). Comments/suggetions?
If I recall, there are 3-4 screws in the door panel around the handle/armrest area, some may have covers over them to hide them. Take those out, and then you will need to get a door trim removal tool (available at a parts store) and work around the edges of the trim panel (start at the bottom) to get all the plastic clips loose from the door itself. Once you have all the clips loose, lift UP on the panel to unseat it from the top lip of the door. Simply be careful and seat the tool as close to the clips as possible, and use steady pressure to pop them loose, DON"T yank or you will bungshard (yes that's a real word) the door panel.
