Factors to Consider when Buying an Aftermarket Car Grille

Are you getting tired of your car and feel you need to do a little makeover job on it? One of the easiest ways to change the look of your car or truck is by doing a little aftermarket car grille lift. Switch out the old one and put on a grille with bling or just a different design of grille onto your ride. But there are a few factors to consider when buying an aftermarket car grille.

Believe it or not there are lots of options when it comes to an aftermarket car grille. First of all you have the material that it's made of. Be careful as you make your purchase that you know exactly what material it's made of whether its chrome plated plastic, aluminum, or stainless steel. There are pros and cons to each but what it comes down to is to your preference and what you're willing to spend. Aluminum and stainless steel are definitely going to affect the budget more than the basic plastic grille.

Choosing your design of your grille is also a factor. The normal design on most car grilles are horizontal and vertical lines together but depending on the look you want to go for you can get different designs. An all horizontal grille would make your truck look wider from the front but a vertical grille will make it look taller. If you are looking to pimp out your ride you can find customized grilles with flames, designs, logos, or whatever you would like on it. It will all just come down to what you're willing to spend.

You will have plenty of options of where to buy your aftermarket grille. The best options may be online since you can easily shop around and find the cheapest grille available for your price range. You can find cheaper ABS plastic grilles for under $99 but you can easily find some high quality stainless steel grilles for up over $500. It depends what you want to fork out for your vehicle.

Installation is definitely a factor that you will want to consider when trying to get a new grille for your ride. There are a lot of customization shops out there that may be a little shady but at the same time a lot that are legitimate businesses. Check and make sure the shop that you go to is registered with the Better Business Bureau for quality insurance for your vehicle. Then you'll have to make the choice whether to do it simple and do the bolt over option for installing the grille on top of your existing grille or having your previous grille removed first.

Grill Installation by a shop is just one of several options. Most grilles today are designed with end-users in mind; direct replacement without alteration or modifications to install. In fact, most grilles are easy to install, and some even comes with step by step installation guide or a downloadable PDF installation guide

Buying an aftermarket car grille is likely to be an important purchase that you are going to make; therefore it is important you think about what you need from a grille. By considering these factors you will be able to make a much informed or well meaningful and smart decision when buying a custom aftermarket grille

Where can i get a Ranger EDGE Hood?

Where would be a good place to get a hood for a 2002 Ranger EDGE

I have looked everywhere including junkyards and many aftermarket suppliers and the only place I can find one is through ford who charges $580 because it is fiberglass/plastic

Remember the hood I need is NOT the aluminum one and both the XLT and EDGE had raised hoods, the edge hood was just more raised.

Thanks

try e-bay.
