How long does heat tape last ?
I have a mobile home in the northeast. I put heat tape around the water line coming up from the ground to the bottom of the trailer floor. I then put pipe insulation around it. It would be hard for me to get under the trailer & take off the insulation & feel if it's warm,I'm disabled now (I installed it 8 years ago). There is a light on it,right before where it plugs in and that is lite. Does anyone know how long heat tape should last ? Thanks
when the light goes out, it's time to replace.
