anyhoo there are a few options, there are high output alternators that deliver anywhere from 120 to 250 amps, there are dual output alternators that have 2 outputs so so 1 wire goes to the battery and the other to your accessories.
people do use 2n'd alternators but it takes custom work and drains H.P. from the motor and can cost a lot.
the big question is does the van have a second battery? a second alternator will not work with out the van running, but it is likely it is on more often.
a second deep cycle battery is the way to go, it can be put on a charger overnight and be ready to go. It is good to get a new first battery too cause if the 1s't battery is bad the alternator will try to charge it when it cannot be charged and a battery that has been discharged 1 time where it needs a jump start can be damaged.
i would just get 2 new batteries an isolator and make sure the wires are in good shape, add one section of 4 gauge wire for the negative of the first battery on top of the old one and make sure all conections are clean and tight.
