Yes, pretty much so. Some rails are slightly larger than the opening cut out in the pickguard and you have to shave the opening a little to fit the rail in. Not all, but some. Depends on who made the rail. Also, some rails are 2 conductor leads. So those are soldered in where the single coil leads went. Other rails are 4 conductor and you have to solder them in according to a wiring diagram for the 4 conductor pickups.
